ON/OFF: 朝焼け Asayake Lyrics + Translation

I first heard this song a long time ago. It has crept into my head now and then and the only thing I remember was "asayake" and "matteta". I eventually found the song again when I searched and decided to translate it into English. The lyrics are really nice and the melody is wistful. I quite enjoy listening to songs that are not about love or breakups since there are so many of those already. So here is the translation!
Lyrics + Translation

In the midst of a drowsy yawn,

I waited for the gentle light

The blue sky of the sunrise

announces it is a new day

Will my future shine like this someday, too?

I'm still in the midst of a dream

Sometimes I embrace my loneliness

After fumbling around every day, surely

A light of hope would shine through

Now that I think about it, I have stopped making up reasons to repeatedly look back

風の中
In the midst of the wind

Little birds

Have started to fly without making excuses

Take a deep breath and knock on my heart

I can see the me from my youth

I'm still journeying

Though there are no sign boards

Until the time comes when I can laugh off these type of days, saying that I had been young

I'm still in the midst of a dream

I stumble around and shed tears again

After fumbling around every day, surely

A light of hope will shine

I'm still journeying

Though there are no sign boards

I don't want the bland paths

I surpass the present me

The blue sky of the sunrise announces it is a new day
