About

Thank you for stopping by!

Nice to meet you. I'm fruitkatsu, a drama addict.

I started writing my thoughts/reviews/recaps because I wanted to express my views on what I watched. Plus, I thought I'd experiment with translating Korean dialogues, short videos and songs just for practice. I also try to practice my Japanese by translating some songs now and then. So, if you do spot any errors or think that some phrase would be better expressed in a different way, please feel free to let me know. All translations on this website are done by me. Please provide appropriate credits if you take my translations and put them somewhere else.

My first Korean drama is Dae Jang Geum or, well-known by it's international title, Jewel In The Palace. It was the first time I saw something so different from the usual TV shows. Even though I didn't start on a drama spree then, that show made me look at other Asian dramas favourably.

Typical drama storylines I like include medical, historical, high school, office romance and mysteries. I don't fancy overly makjang stories and those that are 90% melo.

I hope you can accompany me on this journey through dramaland (and its relatives) together.
