A New Leaf: Episode 13 and 14 Review

I can't believe this drama is already coming to an end. I guess the chances of any possible romance between Ji Yoon and Seok Joo is almost close to zero. Sometimes I wonder if I watch this drama just for that :P But it has been a good drama so far, seeing how Seok Joo develops into a better person and how those who seem to be good might not be all that.

Looks like Seok Joo can't stay away from helping people with their cases. It's great to see he's representing the victims instead of being on the perpetrators' side which he usually would have been since Cha Young Woo undertakes those type of work. I never realised that private lawyers are the ones who represent the "guilty" parties. I suppose they have to, since the prosecution will represent the victims.

I'm so glad Seok Joo won against Cha Young Woo! Or should I say, against Ji Won? It just shows he doesn't need the backing of a powerful firm to help him win the case. He just needs the right people to help him. Who says the victims will be always disadvantaged? With Seok Joo around, no such thing! It's awesome to see Lee Sun Hee working with Seok Joo after being fired. With the two working together, they'll definitely come up with the best plans.

Looks like Sang Tae got a new drinking buddy. I bet he wishes he could work with Seok Joo. Even Ji Yoon wishes the same thing. And what a surprise that is considering Ji Won ended up in Cha Young Woo law firm. I guess after everything, Ji Yoon realises Seok Joo isn't a bad guy. Since he's on the side of justice now, she wants to be on that side too. A pity though, she has to think about her family state first and hang on to her job at the law firm so that there'll be a steady income coming in.

I wonder if Ji Won is still into Ji Yoon because he said he was happy seeing her here but she didn't seem to feel the same. I get a feeling he didn't realise Cha Young Woo goes all out into making sure the firm will win the case. Even if it means doing the dirtiest of jobs. I'm pretty sure he was aware they would use underhand tactics but the reality of it hits him, especially when they still don't win the case after all the methods they're trying to use. Does he regret leaving his position as a judge? I wonder ...

I hope Jung Sun doesn't feature too much in the drama anymore. I don't want her and Seok Joo to resume their wedding plans. Why should they get married? No way! Jung Sun hasn't even told him the truth about the way they even ended up together, about the engagement ring, nothing. She shouldn't even think of taking any more advantage of his amnesia.

It would be great if Seok Joo regains his memories soon. He was so flustered when he found out the real story behind his watch. I hope nothing bad happens to his dad anymore. His dad is suffering from Alzheimer's and his memories still haven't returned. A double whammy! My heart broke when he cried outside his dad's room.

I only wish Ji Yoon wasn't leaving the apartment so soon. There's still so much more time to a whole year before the lease is up. I wouldn't leave yet, if I were her. I'd just stay there till the lease is up. A big, spacious apartment next to an awesome lawyer. Why not?
