The start of Mo Ne v2.0. She begins on her crusade to glory, fighting a losing battle with Jae Wan and the VP. Okay, perhaps a losing battle with Jae Wan since he's on the same side as her.
Mo Ne spits on VP's face and calls him a murderer. She also plays the recording Director Baek gave her, which Jae Wan destroyed immediately. It is obvious Mo Ne lost her trust in Jae Wan in this episode because he admitted to all the things which VP said he had done to Chairman Ah. However, our dear hero didn't tell his lady love it was all because he was conned into believing he was Chairman Ah's son. Instead, he says he targetted Mo Ne's dad for fun. Really? What a way to break someone's heart, babe. Despite Jae Wan's "crimes", Mo Ne still protects him from VP's stick-bashing.
Mo Ne's destruction of Bella (the gundam toy) is a sign that her trust in Jae Wan's love has disappeared. She didn't mean to break Bella apart and she weeped after throwing Bella on the floor. Make up your mind, Mo Ne! You throw something in anger but don't cry after that and pick it up with such tenderness. You just ruined that whole v2.0. Perhaps, if Bella "dies", Jae Wan's love for her "dies" too? We wouldn't want that to happen! Mo Ne, try to fix 'er up! But ... Mo Ne's specialty isn't in gundam toys, right? Looks like she's gotta bring it over to her neighbour to fix it up.
Mo Ne doesn't want to just tell Jae Wan, "Hey, I accidentally broke Bella a few days ago. Can you fix her up?" No. She tosses Bella onto the grassy area in front of Jae Wan's house and proceeds to slap his face. She tries to make him slap her too. Why, Mo Ne? Why did you become so crazy (in love)?
Mo Ne v2.0 doesn't take any nonsense from her staff or Jae Wan. She practically whips Jae Wan in place in front of the other staff members. This time, Jae Wan doesn't oppose her anymore. He looks just like a tamed kitty. He even speaks calmly to her, a huge change from his cold attitude. Jae Wan's faithful international team try to correct Mo Ne's attacks towards Jae Wan but she pokes them all back in place. She also gives Manager Jang the task of collecting complains against Jae Wan from the employees.
Manager Jang enacts the entire meeting with much vigour to the concierge staff. Yoon Da Jung speculates Mo Ne's explosion in behaviour towards Jae Wan boils down to something between Jae Wan and Chae Kyung. I wonder how Da Jung picked up on Jae Wan and Chae Kyung, though. There's nothing between those two so I don't get how Da Jung managed to even see something in that. Unless she's been observing the way Chae Kyung looks at Jae Wan.
Director Baek is another creepy figure. I have been thinking she's not as good as she seems and I was right. Roman has been coyly trying to gain Mo Ne's trust even though it should be the other way around. Reason: Mo Ne has offered some of her shares in Ciel if he invests in her plan, and Director Baek wants all of Mo Ne's shares. Woah, woah, are you dumb, Mo Ne? Your shares are the only thing keeping you in the chairman's seat! Don't listen to Baek Mi Nyeo when she says your feelings towards Jae Wan are a delusion! Jae Wan will do anything for you! Baek Mi Nyeo won't! Mo Ne, don't you get it by now who you aren't supposed to trust? The one giving you the advice to not trust anyone! This is the exact reason why she said she can't help you. Because she doesn't care what happens to you. She only cares about herself and Ciel.
If Jae Wan even knew what Mo Ne offered Roman ... I don't know what would happen. I hope the two guys find out about each other's tattoos soon.
Jae Wan is still trying to help Mo Ne through Soo An. He tells Soo An about the planned meeting between VP and Chairman Sun (Woo Hyun's dad) to sign the contract for selling the land. Mo Ne zips off to the farm, rejecting Soo An's offer to accompany her. Jae Wan emerges from somewhere and stands beside Soo An to watch Mo Ne drive away. When Soo An proclaims her trust in Jae Wan, I swear she's never looked more beautiful. She's one amazing woman, our OTP's saviour.
Off to the farm! I'm pretty sure Chairman Sun initially thought of Mo Ne as a hindrance. But he is a tiny bit moved by her manual labour in his farm. Plus, when he summonsWoo Hyun to come and take Mo Ne away, he seems a tad jealous that Woo Hyun starts helping Mo Ne and even smiles in front of Mo Ne. Hah! Looks like you've got some competition, dad. You can't even make your own son smile for you. Later, Woo Hyun even stops his dad from messing with Mo Ne. Such a sweetheart!
While VP is happily scheming, Jae Wan is busy putting an elaborate plan to unmask VP's true colours. He decides to do it on the same day as the charity event for kids. Jae Wan manages to hire a magic show host to help with his plans. VP is initially portrayed as a generous magician in some ethnic costume and face make-up. When VP's segment is over, the mike isn't turned off and Jae Wan prompts VP with very general questions about children, and VP says cruel and mean words which are broadcasted over the stereo to the audience, including Da Bae, his wife and the reporters. Too late to pretend you're a good guy, Lee Joon Gu. Mo Ne catches on Jae Wan's smug smile and realises Jae Wan isn't really working with the VP.
The best thing about this whole episode was Mo Ne's transformation into a stronger person. She's realised her love for Jae Wan isn't going to help her with work. She needs to separate work and love, and learn to do business at the same level as other creeps. However, one sad aspect is her falling for Roman's facade. He seems like a good guy but he's really under his mother's thumb. I thought he could be a pillar of support to Mo Ne but, now, I hope he doesn't try to get any closer to Mo Ne. He should just follow Jae Wan's plans and not touch Mo Ne at all. I'm guessing Roman might trick Jae Wan into believing he is working with him, but instead invest in Mo Ne's idea (which is the same as Jae Wan's) since it is more profitable to him. Not only will he get monetary return when the culture park is up and running, he will also get hotel shares. Which leads me to ask if Jae Wan actually has any shares in the hotel. He is the general manager, but is it a post high enough for him to either get some shares? Or does he have the money to invest in some of the shares?
Another great part is Jae Wan putting a stop to his false, cold attitude. He knows he doesn't have much time left before he smashes VP down but he doesn't want to lose Mo Ne forever. The last thing he wants is to not have a place to belong to. He assumes his father is the VP, but what it that isn't the case? Then he wouldn't know who he belongs to. Currently, most of the clues point towards Baek Mi Nyeo as his mother. But who is the father? It's been confirmed in the DNA test that Jae Wan isn't Chairman Ah's son or Mo Ne's relative. This is probably another mystery that might be kept for awhile longer.
No Ah also has good dynamics with Manger Jang. They finish each other's lines and are a great comedy pair. I also see another two potential relationships in the making. Manager Jang x So Moon Jung and Jin Jung Hyun x Yoon Da Jung. Manager Jang has pretty much reached his limit when he looks at So Moon Jung. I have to say that ahjumma does a great job at looking sexy, with the help of a little make-up, she's all Manager Jang has ever fantasises about :P As for Jung Hyun, he suddenly realises Da Jung is really attractive after seeing her get-up for the girl group dance for the charity event. He totally can't take his eyes off her :P I wonder when it will be before Da Jung also considers Jung Hyun as a potential candidate for a partner.
