A New Leaf: Episode 9 Recap

The episode starts off with Ji Yoon wondering why Seok Joo will not even consider taking the pro bono case. Sang Tae comes along and helps her with the steps to a jail interview. She goes off to the jail to interview the boy, who remains resolutely silent. The only thing he does each time Ji Yoon asks him a question (with a voiceover of Sang Tae's tips for Ji Yoon) is to flick his fingernail. A bit strange, isn't it? Ji Yoon manages to get him talking a bit about his bike but she can't get any further. The boy seems content to stay in jail and live the rest of his life there.

After the interview, Ji Yoon is busy writing and reviewing her notes. She's about to call Seok Joo to ask his advice but stops. He's probably not going to help her, right? It's nice to see Ji Yoon takes Seok Joo's advice seriously but doesn't want to listen to him about dropping the pro bono case. Well, I guess she has to be responsible for it if she wants to dive head into it.

Angel Eyes: Episode 3 Review

I skipped episode 2 just so I could finally watch the moment when Dong Joo and Soo Wan meet as adults. I'm not so into this drama, but it was refreshing from the dark, angsty mood in Hotel King.

I didn't recognise the actor for Dong Joo, Lee Sang Yoon. I thought, "Who's this good-looking dude?" and searched the drama's cast, only to find he also acted as the prince in Jung-Yi. No wonder! I thought he was dashing in Jung-Yi, too.

Hotel King: Episode 14 Review

I was a little disappointed Mo Ne was hankering after Jae Wan, though she was also trying to get the plans for the culture park moving. I guess she still needed some time to adjust to his cold attitude and not just superficially understand he doesn't want to have anything to do with her. But to fully absorb it. She doesn't absorb it right to the end until she realises there's more to Jae Wan than she knows.

Hotel King: Episode 13 Recap

Mo Ne is still reeling from the shock at Jae Wan's cold attitude. She takes out her phone and looks at his contact (saved as 'my right hand'). She's about to press the call button when Soo An walks in to tell her it's time to attend the meeting with the board of directors. Mo Ne is uneasy about it but she heads off.

Jae Wan and VP are also walking to the meeting room. VP tells Jae Wan he can't trust Jae Wan fully yet because he thinks there's a chance Jae Wan might run back to Mo Ne's side. Jae Wan is completely void of emotions while VP is talking. I'd say VP looks really happy to have his most hated General Manager by his side. The way he swung his stick in joy makes me cringe. As if he's ready to get a-wacking once more.

The number one sign something's off about you: you can't recognise your fiancée. Yep, why else would that lady who came all the way to the office be looking at you expectantly and even turning to continue watch you walk by her?

차갑게 변한 재완(이동욱)의 모습에 모네(이다해)는 혼란스럽다. 호텔 이사진들은 모네의 능력을 의심하며 일련의 사건들에 대한 책임을 묻자, 미녀(김해숙)가 변호하고 나선다.

중구(이덕화)는 재완에게 카지노가 들어설 ‘호텔 씨엘’ 계획을 밝히지만, 한편으로 다배(서이안)와 점점 가까워지는 재완 때문에 불안하다.

한편, 모네는 재완이 자신에게 감추는 것이 있다는 걸 눈치채고, 그 사이 로먼 리(진태현)가 ‘호텔 씨엘’을 찾는다.

Mo Ne is confused by Jae Wan's face that turned cold. The hotel board of directors are doubtful of Mo Ne's abilities, and Mi Nyeo defends her when she's asked about the series of events that happened. Jung Gu tells Jae Wan his plans to build a casino in Hotel Ciel after Jae Wan returns, but on the other hand, he's worried by how Da Bae is slowly getting closer to Jae Wan. Mo Ne noticed Jae Wan is hiding something, and, meanwhile, Roman Lee (not sure why a Korean person has such a name) has come looking for Hotel Ciel.

A New Leaf: Episode 7 Review

Episode 7 left me with one question: will there actually be any budding romance between the leads?

Seok Joo and Ji Yoon have many scenes together, mostly because both had been working hard on Jung Hye Ryeong's case. Of course, no one would expect any less from Seok Joo. He managed to spot many discrepancies in the evidence submitted by the prosecution, which led Jung Hye Ryeong to be declared innocent. I wonder why the prosecution was so keen on getting her convicted. I know they're meant to be on the side of the 'innocent' but why try to force Jung Hye Ryeong to admit to murder? And to even lure her with the promise of getting her out early if she admits to having pushed the guy when she didn't? Quite filthy really. I don't like the look of the prosecutor. I wonder if he'll be appearing in future episodes.
